I enjoy exploring a variety of materials, and work in mixed media, textile and print. Work is created from my observations of the natural world.

I use a sketchbook incorporating small 3D pieces, technique samples, drawings and photographs. This helps me to investigate my ideas and materials before starting on a full-scale work. This may be a wall piece or 3D work.

My inspiration is often from the world around me. This can be anything from watching the wind in the trees to small items picked up on my street. I become involved in making observations of relationships, similarities and differences in shape and line.

The work often becomes abstract. I use a variety of methods of working with textile, stitch, print and other media.

STUDIO: Display of finished work. Talking to visitors about my design process. Demonstrations of simple bookmaking and print.
