Fine work inspired by a love of landscape, birds and rich pattern – drawing, collage and embroidery in black and white through to gold on transparent silk.

For me, drawing and ‘making’ is a form of reflection and inner exploration of living. It’s an instinct which feels like a common thread joining it all together.

My imagery visits landscapes, wild places and birds, museums and collections of fine objects. It’s detailed work with subtle colour, loose pen and ink drawings with collage freely paralleled with embroidery.

There’s a natural connection between text and touch, lines of thought, lines drawn and lines stitched by hand or machine.

Rich work in gold embroidery on silk and dissolvable fabrics is developing into an exciting new collection.

STUDIO: Awesome farmhouse location overlooking Rivelin Valley. Light, airy studio opening onto the garden. Interesting for illustration, fine art and textiles enthusiasts.
