I sculpt & model individual ceramic pieces expressing a humour which reflects the idiosyncratic times in which we live. I also take commissions for studio & domestic ware.

With a varied background teaching & lecturing in the Applied & Fine Arts my ceramics, drawings, paintings & photographs cover a wide range of methods, genres & themes. These include torsos, domestic & slip-ware, candelabra, flat-back ware & figurative idiomatic sculptural pieces.

Sometimes requiring a second-glance or double-take many pieces reflect on an increasingly skewed society with its idiosyncratic values & priorities.

Being described as having a very ‘specialist’ humour, an original, wry & off-kilter approach underlies the work. Whether undermining of the status quo, politically not quite correct, or simply provocative I always hope the expression of my ideas bring a knowing smile to the face of those viewing the art I produce.

STUDIO: Stunning scenery secluded courtyard, big barn, spacious conservatory, and a warm welcome from 4 excellent artists.
