A varied mix of watercolour, acrylic and felted landscapes, felt vessels and 1920’s hand-made felt hats.
My work is varied, but underlying it all is the inspiration of the natural world, whether it be a sun-baked landscape in france, the rain-soaked yorkshire dales, flowers in the local market or a chaffinch in my own garden. It is mainly shape and colour which interest me.
I also use different media, including drawing, watercolour and acrylic paint, mixed media, merino wool, silk and other fibres.
In addition to landscape paintings in both paint and wool, I also make 3D felt vessels and 1920’s style felt hats.
I do a small amount of demonstrating and teaching about painting, felt-making and the history of hat-making.
