I use acrylics, gouache, and clay to make non-figurative paintings and ceramic sculptures. I am inspired by interactions of colours seen in the natural world.

I paint non-figurative paintings and make ceramic sculptures. My aesthetic decisions aim to encompass and use the moving, changing and drying properties of materials. I want my work to have inevitability. I am inspired by the contrast of colours found in the natural world and I want to reflect that reality and fact in my work.

I use rags and squeegees to construct my paintings as a way of distancing myself from making painterly marks. I aim to conduct the materials much like diverting water with rocks into pools or waterfalls.

I make ceramic sculptures in a similar fashion so that the its materiality is predominant.

I trained in Goldsmiths Art College '75-78 and have had one person and group shows since.
