I consider that I am a better portrait and still life painter although I love painting landscapes in oil, water-colour or pastels. I try to capture the essence of my subject each time.
My creative journey started as a child, when I won a few school art competitions, and which has continued with various adult courses throughout my life.
When I lived in Ipswich, I was lucky enough to be taught by John Constable, a descendant of the John Constable.
I paint landscapes, but find that my forte is painting still life and portraiture. I try to pick up the essence of the sitter in my work.
