Individually designed handwoven rugs and wall panels for public and private interiors. Constructed as durable floor rugs, their decorative quality makes them equally appropriate for the wall.

I have recently moved to Sheffield, (2011), and have been running my weaving workshop since 1989 where I specialise in making individually designed handwoven rugs and wall panels for commission and exhbition. My work is in public and private collections in the UK, EU and North America. I have successfully completed a number of commissions for individuals, architects, interior designers and places of worship. My work experience also involves organising and facilitating textile-related workshops and arts residencies in schools, museums and galleries.

Each rug / wall panel is made with a linen warp, (threads running vertically), and wool or cotton weft, (threads running horizontally). I employ a variety of traditional weft face rug weaving techniques to create weaving which is both decorative and functional. Sometimes, I custom dye the cotton yarns. Many of the designs are reversible, effectively giving two different surfaces. Constructed as durable floor rugs, their decorative quality makes them equally appropriate as wall panels.

STUDIO: Colourful, vibrant handwoven rugs and wall panels made with linen, wool & cotton. Weaving demonstrations with a table loom. Commissions accepted.
