Kelham Island Arts Co-op provide affordable space where Sheffield based artists can meet, create and exhibit.

KIAC is a newly established Artist's Co-op which has grown from 6 members in May 2011 to 24 members by the time Open Up Sheffield begins this year.

KIAC's stated aim is to provide low cost studio and exhibition space in Sheffield and South Yorkshire area, for emerging and student artists. In addition KIAC wants to develop links to the local community in the S3, S4 and S5 areas, to engage these under-represented areas in the arts. To this end KIAC has already participated in a recent community event at the Chapel in Burngreave Cemetery.

During Open Up Sheffield, most of the participating artists will be offering demonstrations and mini workshops where the public can try their hands at various different activities. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone and hope you have a great time visiting and meeting us all.
